Hi, I’m Jess (she/her), a neurodivergent, cisgender white woman, parent, partner, and therapist living on the unceded and ancestral (stolen) territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples, also known as Vancouver.

I live with my partner, our curious and hilarious son, and our elderly cat, Chomsky. I don’t always fit the mold and I’ve learned to love that. I love mismatched mugs, aimless wanders through the city, and slow coffee park mornings with fellow sleepy parents while our kids chase leaves or puddles nearby. I’m endlessly curious about people, tender toward the complexity of being human, and always attuned to the quiet details where meaning tends to live.

I’ve worked in community for over 20 years, long before I formally trained as a therapist. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside unhoused communities, newcomer families, youth facing systemic barriers, people navigating addiction, and those moving through the often overwhelming folds of health care. I’m also a survivor of a tricky childhood, a truth that deeply informs my work with compassion, attunement, and zero judgment.

Today, I split my time between The Curious Kind and BC Children’s Hospital, where I work as a pediatric hospital social worker, supporting children, youth, and families through moments of crisis, complexity, and transition. In private practice, I offer individual and group therapy, clinical supervision, and community consultation. My approach is grounded in narrative therapy, relational practice, cultural humility, and a lifelong commitment to equity, collective care, and climate justice.

At the heart of my work is a belief that healing is relational, political, and shaped by story. I hold space with warmth, curiosity, and respect, always centering consent, agency, and the unique wisdom each person carries. Together, we co-create spaces where your story is seen, your truth is honoured, and transformation gets to take its time.
